Tim Bastmeyer


Tim is a Canadian musician, multi instrumentalist, producer, and recording engineer. 

Tim got his start performing in rock bands at various clubs in Ontario and made a name for himself in the rock festival scene in Canada and on tours in North America, Europe, and Great Britain. In recent years Tim found a home in the blues. As a solo artist he has released four solo albums, characterized as blues with hints of jazz. Tim continues to perform at blues and jazz festivals around the world. 

Since 2006 Tim has been engineering and producing for clients in music, television, and film based out of  his recording studio in the outskirts of Toronto, as well as freelancing and location recording. He has been nominated for two Durham Region Music Awards, and was one of the three winners of the Colbalt Prize at the 2016 Maple Blues Awards. Tim's co-production with Jerome Tucker was a semi finalist for best self produced cd at the 30th International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. 

What makes Tim unique is his ability to engineer and produce as well as crossing over many genres including rock, metal, hip hop, jazz, pop, reggae, folk, and blues.
